Teeseburger Pizza

I spent the weekend at my boyfriend's parent's house in Clarksville, about three hours from Memphis. So when I arrived home Sunday night, I wanted a quick, tasty dinner. Fortunately, I thought ahead last week and made a double-batch of Vegan with a Vengeance Pizza Dough. My awesome friend Wes, who dog and cat sat for me while I was away, removed the dough from the freezer on Sunday morning so it'd be thawed when I got home.

In just a few quick minutes after I walked in the door, I'd whipped up this gooey Teeseburger Pizza:

For the sauce, I thawed some leftover red sauce that I made using Shellyfish's Grandma Antonia's Garlic Gravy recipe several weeks ago. I thickened it with some extra tomato pasta to make it more like pizza sauce.

Then I topped the pie with Teese, Morningstar Farms soy crumbles, and green bell pepper. So good! Nothing beats a Teese pizza. I'm so grateful to those folks over at the Chicago Soy Dairy for inventing this fabulous stuff!

So far, Teese tops my list of the bestest vegan cheeses ever! What's your favorite vegan cheese?

    Yesterday I was contemplating about making some pizza dough and freeze it for such an occasion. Now I wish I had!
    To be honest, I don't really like vegan cheese, no matter what brand. But I haven't tried teese yet.

    Can you believe I still haven't tried Teese??? After seeing how delicious it looks, I'm going to try and find it next time I'm in Seattle. I need pizza!
    I usually use FYH, which is decent.

    hooray for teeseburger pizza of awesomeness! now i want more pizza. and with teese! it's my favorite vegan cheeze, too! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! so nice of Wes to take the dough out of the freezer for you, and hooray for more of Shelly's Grandmother's garlic gravy! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! that's one pizza of gloriousness, indeed!

    Wes sounds like such a nice guy! And how cool that you thought ahead so you'd have a quick and easy dinner when you got home. I still have never had Teese. They don't sell it at any of the stores near me and I have been avoiding having to buy it online. I may have to eventually!

    You're always "teese"-ing us! I have still not tried the stuff! Great thinking on planning ahead with the pizza dough. I really need to eat more pizza, but I must get some Teese first!

    Teese didn't work out for me so well. I think it requires a lot
    of patience that I dont have.
    I'm a Sheese fan. I'll try the
    Teese Cheddar flavor when it comes
    out, hopefully that'll work out
    better. Very succulent looking 'za.

    That pizza looks ridiculously good! I haven't had Teese yet, so far Sheese is my favorite. But I think I mostly use the cashew ricotta from vcon for my fake cheese needs.

    I so wish I could get teese here!! I do admit it, I miss cheese, but don't ever buy vegan cheeses - I do when i'm visiting the US though!

    Wow that looks soooo decadent and amazing. I've really gotta try teese! I like sheese a lot, but it's basically a block of solid fat, so it's not something I'll be keeping around the house very often. :)

    I've actually never tried vegan cheese, it kinda weirds me out :S But those pizzas look soooo good!

    On another note, you've totally inspired me to try going raw for like one day every week... I've been raw so far today and I feel great! :)

    looks yum. I can't get teese anymore though. My husband is freaked out by how realistic it is.
